Ehh, perhaps that's overly simplistic? Windows Explorer handles a lot of scripts and API calls from external programs. A malicious program could issue an instruction to Explorer that causes it to fault, thus generating the message before you.

If anything, it just means that Windows Explorer might have a few security holes it needs to address.

True... I don't even see the little "Details" or "Debug" options in the dialog. It required some working knowledge of assembly, but a shrewd developer could usually figure out the cause.

Is this Windows XP, or a next-generation OS?
